Colorama

The first weekend of October finds us at Colorama, a community event in the small town of Caroline in Shawano County, WI. Colorama is sponsored by the local Lions Club and provides extensive horseback trail-riding opportunities. Last year, over 1450 riders attended this three-day get together. In addition to several trail rides, the event offers a parade, music, auction, a rendezvous, rummage sales, vendors of all sorts, and a pancake breakfast. Brightenridge continues to provide a team of Shires to give wagon rides through the colorful, scenic countryside around Caroline as part of the Lions Club fundraiser. In recent years, we have also taken over the tradition begun by Tony’s father of carrying the marshal in a wagon pulled by our team at the head of Sunday’s parade. All profits go to the Lions.
